Dr. Jim Lamb and Dr. Zach Hale, both Star Valley natives, brought Regional Hearing and Balance to the valley. Dr. Lamb said they thought bringing this type of service to the valley would be successful because there wasn’t already this type of service preexisting. He also said it’s nice to visit home so often too.
Regional Hearing and Balance in Afton first opened in 2015. Jim Lamb and Zach Hale, both Audiology doctors for Regional Hearing and Balance take turns managing the Afton clinic every Thursday.
“We provide services to a big range,” Dr. Lamb said. “We’ve seen people all the way from Jackson to Kemmerer.”
The main clinic for Regional Hearing and Balance is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The other branches are located in Blackfoot, Rexburg, and Afton, Wyoming.
They are looking to expand their available hours in the Blackfoot and Afton clinics due to the recent growth in their number of patients, Dr. Lamb said. Blackfoot will soon be opened two days a week.
Dr. Lamb said it’s possible the Afton clinic will also be opened two days a week. “I don’t know when that will happen but there has been talk about that,” he said.
The Afton clinic immediately joined the Chamber of Commerce when it first opened. “[Being a member] is a way to get our name out and social network with other businesses,” Dr. Lamb said.
Regional Hearing and Balance is open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. by appointment. You can reach them at 307-886-7067.
